The emphasis of our site is on the student dancers and troupe activities. Our Mission is to encourage unity and co-operation within our dance community. We attempt to do this through positive action. We encourage all students and troupe members to take advantage of the exciting variety of workshops, quality teachers of MED & ATS, as well as ALL the bellydance activities offered. Quality is our first priority. Middle Eastern dance has its roots in community and tradition we encourage those attributes. We try to keep it simple, clean and FUN in addition to educational! We hold to the traditions that our dance is for the average everyday person to enjoy.
MariJahne' (director and founder of Crazy Camel Caravan and the Tin Can Gypzee's) has been a continuing instructor/student in the Art of Middle Eastern dance for over 25 years. She owes her foundations in the Dance to her first instructor's, Aisha and Solome'. She is eternally grateful to both for having faith in her abiltiies and giving her so many opportunitites to not only learn and perform but also to teach. ( first at Aisha's home studio then stepping in for Solome' at the Lakeland Recreational Facilties) 2004 found her in Ga where she taught for the City of Rome and GA Highlands College. 2006 found her returning to FL. where she now teaches once again in Lakeland, Plant City and at her own Studio in Mulberry.
She is proud to be able to saymany of her students moved onward to become professional,[ some ] "award" winning dancers, and instructors in their own right, (a reward and accomplishment she accepts with great happiness and some pride).
We enjoy giving back to the communities where we live and prosper. Our students and dancers value the friendly and affordable environment our classes provide. Classes with MariJahne' are available in Lakeland FL, Plant City FL and Mulberry FL.
